CC&L Private Capital recognizes the importance of Canadians giving and volunteering in their communities and beyond. To help prepare the next generation of philanthropists and counter a decline in charitable participation rates, we have joined forces with the Spark Global Philanthropic Foundation (SPARK), which was established to teach young Canadians all about philanthropy.
Spark arranges a varied curriculum for students that includes a Stanford University course on charitable giving as well as seminars with some of the country’s top philanthropists. In addition, CC&L Private Capital takes its experience working with foundations and boards to educate the students on the technical aspects of philanthropy, allowing them to see in practice the principles they have learned.
Catherine Dorazio, Managing Director, CC&L Private Capital, had the honour of addressing the graduating class, inspiring the students with words of encouragement in their future philanthropic endeavours and announcing the CC&L Foundation's gift to fund a foundation on behalf of each student.
